Functional rehabilitation and chiropractic
One thing that separates Aim 4 Health from other chiropractors is our knowledge and education in functional rehabilitation. It is an integral part of our patient management helping improve results, prevent reinjury and enhance overall performance.
Our functional rehabilitation programs are designed individually for each patient based on the results of their examination findings. The program is initiated after progressing through their initial phase of care focused on pain reduction, inflammatory control, mobility and flexibility, tissue relaxation, subluxation correction and an improvement in the quality of movement. Once this has been achieved, we reassess certain movement patterns and design the corrective program in progressive stages of development starting with basic activation exercises and then advancing to more complex functional movements increasing difficulty.
Our programs focus on improving the quality of functional movement in the whole body and not just the injured or problematic areas. We use a variety of different techniques and exercise equipment to assist this process. Our programs can be printed or emailed to you so that you can watch the videos on how to complete the exercise on our own exercise software. It beneficial to bring your phone to these appointments so we can video record your exercises for you to watch and listen to our audio commentary cues for improved outcomes. In the program patients are informed of the exercises, the correct order, the number of reps, holds, weight, sets and resting periods.
